About Marigold Weaving Studio
Rooted in Santa Fe. Woven with intention.
Founded by local fiber artist Barbara Marigold, Marigold Weaving Studio is the culmination of a lifelong love for texture, color, and craftsmanship. Barbara’s journey began with custom knitting, moved into intricate embroidery, and truly came to life when she discovered the art of weaving. Today, she brings all of those skills together through designing and sewing garments that reflect both artistry and individuality.
Barbara incorporates her handwoven textiles into coats, jackets, and other fabulous one-of-a-kind pieces—blending function with beauty in every stitch. Each garment is created with care in her Santa Fe studio and often tailored to fit the individual wearer.
In addition to wearable art, Barbara also weaves rugs, shawls, and scarves, creating pieces that celebrate the full creative potential of the loom.

A Legacy of Fiber Arts: Marigold Arts
Before founding Marigold Weaving Studio, Barbara Marigold led Marigold Arts, a beloved creative space once located on Canyon Road, Santa Fe’s iconic arts district. Known for its curated collections and one-of-a-kind garments, Marigold Arts featured Barbara’s handwoven works and wearable designs, and grew to include galleries throughout New Mexico.
Her work traveled far beyond the studio, with shows in Aspen, Vail, Scottsdale, and Dallas, reaching audiences across the Southwest and beyond. A true highlight—Barbara’s woven jackets and fiber pieces were featured in the Saks Fifth Avenue Christmas Windows in New York City.
Today, Barbara continues to evolve her artistic practice, bringing decades of experience into a fresh and exciting new chapter of wearable art—each piece still made by hand, still rooted in Santa Fe, and more inspired than ever.
